Gerardo Settanni

Bio

He is an italian Clinical and Community Psychologist. He graduated in 2001 at “La Sapienza” Rome University (Italy) presenting the thesis “Il contatto emotivo nella psicoterapia corporea”.

In 2001, after 4 years training, he obtained the Certificate of Gestalt Counseling, and in 2023 after 2 years training, he obtained the certificate of Somatic Gestalt Counseling (Lomi) at the school “FGB” Formazione in Gestalt Bodywork Counseling Ostuni (Italy).

His interests about the connection between body and mind and the wholeness of the human being, brought him to attend many workshops based on that topics.
He continues to study and widen his knowledge based on Gestalt principles and taking account of the new discovery in every field of the human knowledge and particularly the Neuroscience, applying these knowledge in his practicing.

He is a member of the “NYIGT” New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, member of “IG-FEST” International Gestalt Field Emergent Self, vice president of “FIPSIS Puglia” (Italy) Federazione Psicologi dello Sport, member of the “Associazione Progetto Psicologia Società Identità e Professione” Lecce (Italy).

He practice in Puglia (Italy), and thanks to the modern technologies of the communication, he loves to support and to be supported in the growing up of the theorical and experiencial knowledge with collegues from all over the world.
