Jon Blend

Jon Blend MA Dip Child , Dip Psych, Cert Sup, ECP,  CQSW. Jon is a member of UKCP, NCPS and EAP. He holds British and Austrian citizenship. Jon  works in London in private practice offering  consultation and psychotherapy to adults, children and families. He  is also a clinical supervisor, international trainer  and Lifemusic practitioner. Jon’s  background includes over forty years working  in the fields of NHS  adult and child mental health, disability and social work. He is a performing  musician with London Playback Theatre Company https://www.londonplayback.com.

Positions held:
Jon has served on The British Gestalt Journal Board and several related  Boards and conference committees. He is an advisor to the Violet Solomon Oaklander Foundation and an  Approved  International Trainer in the  Oaklander Gestalt  method of  Play Therapy.

He is a Faculty member at London’s  Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (Wellbeing Diploma Course ) and a visiting tutor at Gestalt Centre Belfast; Gestalt Centre London; Manchester Gestalt Centre; Gestalt Centre Wales and other Institutes. Jon is Director of Gazebo Training School  in West London  and hosts  CAEIG- IAAGT’s online  Child, Adolescent & Emerging Adulthood Interest Group.

Special Interests
Jon specialises in projective- arts based  therapies, inter-faith dialogue, transcultural matters and improvisational music -making.  He has presented workshops and trainings online and/or in-person  at  a variety of Gestalt  conferences and Institutes across  Europe, the Middle East, UK and USA. His work is attachment and trauma informed. Jon works with Coco, his canine co-therapist.
