Piotr Mierkowski


Bio

Piotr Mierkowski MA Dip Psych, UKCP registered gestalt psychotherapist, supervisor and international trainer in practice in London (UK) since 1991.

Graduate of London Metropolitan University and The Gestalt Centre London where he is now a regular visiting trainer. Piotr also offers training and group supervision in Poland, where he was born and grew up. He is an active IAAGT member, board member of UKAGP (the UK Association of Gestalt Practitioners) and an Editor of the UKAGP Newsletter.

Areas of his clinical expertise include relationships, life transitions, creativity, sexuality, love and loss. In addition to gestalt therapy, Piotr has considerable training in body therapy and works effectively with individuals experiencing various degrees of body-mind disconnection. His approach is gentle and invitational that nurtures a person’s authentic self, facilitates choices and self-expression, and increases capacity for intimacy with others. Piotr is bilingual (English/Polish) and has particularly extensive therapeutic experience with LGBT+ clients many of whom are also part of another racial/ethnic minority.
